INTERN II

As a counselor, my first goal is to build a positive environment where my client is comfortable sharing their story. I am here to listen to all your thoughts and concerns, and to work towards a common goal of living a happier and healthier life. Through the therapeutic process, I am here as a support and will provide a judgement free space to explore each emotion as well as ensure that you feel heard and empowered to take the next steps toward a better you.

I am in my final year of my graduate program at Liberty University studying clinical mental health counseling. My passion for helping others as well as my experience working with adolescents is what has brought me to this field, and it is my hope to make a strong impact on each of my clients. I believe that every individual deserves quality mental health counseling where dialogue and empathy are at the forefront. Through a healthy counseling journey, we can work together to overcome the challenges life brings.

Through collaboration and respect for each other, we can work towards long lasting positive changes and a better future ahead.

We all have our unique stories, and taking authorship of them allows us to understand and develop our identities, discover more effective ways of interacting with the world, and choose new paths to live happier and more meaningful lives. This may mean different things to each of us, but my goal as your counselor will be to learn about what is meaningful to YOU and collaborate with you to understand your past, find more peace and enjoyment in the present, and create a path to the future you want for yourself.

I am a graduate student intern in my final year of pursuing my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University. I am passionate about working with young adults, members of the LGBTQ+ community, neurodivergent individuals, people with current or past experiences of religious trauma or spiritual abuse, and many others from all walks of life! My primary approaches to counseling include person-centered and narrative therapy, but I also love implementing mindfulness and creativity into sessions, as well as finding ways to adapt to what works best for you. I see you as the expert on your unique experience and hope to create an environment in which you feel comfortable letting me know what works or doesn't work for you.

Your story is still being written, and I'm here to listen without judgement and help you along your healing journey!

You deserve more. No matter the circumstance, situation, or concern everyone deserves to be heard as they go through their own approach to daily life. I believe every story is human and you are truly unique, therefore your approach to counseling should be completely yours. I’m here to aid your focus towards your preferences, goals, and desires. With the help of people like you, I have seen hundreds of self-wanderers shift their focus on their boundaries to develop, plan and create an ideal approach to overcome each barrier needed. Through sessions connections via community resources, online education, and any other domain can also be explored.

No boundaries or restrictions will be applied. As a counselor, I enjoy working with a range of populations and challenges. My education is routed from Kutztown University in which I was highly trained within the population of children from older adolescents, however, I also carry experience in working with older individuals.

My creativity and passion are my driving force to maintain and excel in an adversity of techniques and skills for therapy. As a counselor, I will ensure a comfortable, safe place for you. You deserve this time.
